This nailer works tremendous. If the tool fails to fire or jams frequently (if you read other reviews you'll read about complaints of this happening, where they drepress the nose several times and then it works for a while, etc) : CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATE ON THE FUEL CELL.

An expired fuel cell will construct the tool malfunction randomly (drive 3-5 nails, not work, drive 3 more then not work or scrape, etc) . Creating expansive amounts of frustration.

I have a state of Impulse nailers (framing and super) and both worked flawlessly when I first bought them. I exercise them for home projects, that is, it can be a year or more before I exercise it on another project. Last year I started a original project and the framing nailer started not firing after driving 3-5 nails. I cleaned, oiled and cleaned again with temporary results after a few nails. The "usual diagram" is to depress the nose 10 times on the dapper and at some point it starts firing again. Needless to say frustrating enough to beget you want to retract a corded tool.

I must say that I accept it inviting that there are so many sparkling reviews about this flawless GPS. I am always skeptical of anything that sounds too pleasant! I read many of the reviews online, and after evaluating the specifications and features, opted to win the Delorme PN-40. Prior to this consume, I owned a Garmin 60CSX GPS. I believed that the Delorme was poised to be a critical improvement in both the tracking ability and the exhibit of aerial overlays.

This isn't too noteworthy of an advise as they are titanic enough for my typical hike. Second, I have found that the download run is being slight to speeds on the order of 15-20Kb/s. This is incredibly wearisome considering the capability of cable is in excess of 700Kb/s. A typical download time for the maximum 250sq/km file is over 1.5hrs. In addition, many of the downloads conclude prematurely, and this requires you to download the entire file again (a download manager isn't able to resume the download after termination) . I have spent days trying to download a single file due to premature downloads (and no, my modem and router aren't the cause!)

The learning curve for uploading the diagram files to the PN-40 is tricky and not documented very well. It took me (I'm an electrical engineer) about 4 hours to sift through the documentation along with some trial and error. Once downloading was accomplished, I found that the note of the maps was resplendent, but lacked detail.

I then took the Delorme PN-40 and Garmin 60CSX (Sirf Star III chipset) on a 9 mile hike in Forest Park located in Portland Oregon. I customary current Powerex Medion batteries in both GPS's. The temperature outside was about 35degF and the hike took approx 5 hours. My findings are as follows:

The Delorme PN-40 took several minutes longer than the Garmin 60CSx to lock onto the satellites before a 3D concept was possible. The Delorme circle of uncertainty, accuracy of the state, varied significantly while standing in the same space on originate terrain with no obstructed opinion of the sky. The variation would be on the order of +- 15ft to +-40ft. The Garmin locked onto the signal vary consistently for this same plot with variations of only +-2ft. It may unprejudiced be me, but I'm not color blind and have favorable vision. The Garmin indicate is easier to view, I deem, because there isn't distinguished clutter on the present (the backlight helps very great in gross light also) . The Delorme tracking lines are ample! It is easy to recognize where you have gone and is nicely color contrasted to the background intention. The Garmin tracking points are almost impossible to watch (until downloaded to your PC) as they blend into the topo diagram! The last point I want to accomplish concerns the battery life, and this was the biggest impart for my personal exhaust. The Delorme battery life was barely acceptable (for my purposes) under the conditions of this hike (chilly and wet for 5 hours) . The battery indicator on the Delorme started dropping after about 2.5 hours and declined steadily for the remainder of the hike. The last hour of the hike I expected the Delorme to shut off, but the batteries did bear out for the beefy hike. The Garmin battery life remained at paunchy for the entire hike. You can argue that my test wasn't exactly lovely since the batteries weren't mark novel and don't know how often I primitive the backlight, but I didn't query the Delorme to open indicating reduced battery power so soon. A sample size of one unit is not exactly a grand indicator of all the units sold, but then I'm not being hired by anyone or trying to select sides! Also, I really relish Delorme giving easy access to the stout capacity of a 32Gb SDHC card (which I verified worked well), but you do need plenty of storage for the hybrid aerial maps.

In summary, let me say that in my idea I feel that Garmin has the lead on GPS hardware and that Delorme has the lead on Mapping software. If I had the go kit, I could maintain the backlight on in the, and have no jam finding my scheme to other addresses. Speaking of addresses, the maps that arrive with this are Big! So easy to load the pre-cut set maps that approach on the accompanying DVDs. I haven't tried to slice maps online yet, but I concept on grabbing a bunch of satellite imagery, as that is one of the key points that sold me on the PN-40.

Now, onto the main reason I wanted a fresh GPSr, geocaching. I am simply AMAZED. This was the greatest geocaching experience I have ever had. I loaded Color Aerial Imagery onto my PN, and it was literally like i had Google Earth as GPSr. I viewed all my caches on the blueprint, scrolled to one I wanted to hit, and routed to it. It was so apt it was scary! I was in heavy foliage at times, and it never lost a 3-D connection. It wasn't jumping all over the situation like my stale GPS did. This was valid! In fact, I reflect the biggest quandary is that the people who placed the caches had a less factual GPS, thus throwing off the coords slightly.

I had the PN auto-routing for roads to each cache. Once I got to the plot, I unbiased let the GPS lead me to cache. Some of the caches I didn't even read, I fair made my intention to the place and found it.

I'm already having a lot of fun with this. It's a substantial change from my Etrex. My biggest pains was that I would have buyers regret and wished I bought the Oregon. So far that is not the case. Once I commence loading all kinds of different maps, which reach with the GPSr (and for $29.99, I can win a year subscription of unlimited design downloads of their online maps), I don't glance how the Oregon can even compare.

I could not be happier with my win of this fancy! I am really amazed how the PN does everything! I can't wait for the next firmware update to accumulate the enhanced geocaching features. The PN-40 can only acquire better.

BTW, 7 for 8 caches today, and the one I couldn't obtain was definitely gone.

Unlike a lot of reviewers who post reviews on a product they've never seen or held (Apple Stores were told they wouldn't win theirs until the kill of October--per Charlotte NC store) ----- I actually have one.

I ordered mine on Oct 12, and it arrived Oct 20. I of course ordered the 60GB diagram.

It was easy to swap out my ancient 40 GB procedure with this modern one. I'd previously installed the original iTunes and the iPod software version 10-12-05 that I'd downloaded. It was jog in, register, and download. (And I had to swap cables on my dock***.)

Some observations:

The camouflage is very incandescent when you turn the backlight on and leave it on, it's very gloomy if you don't (probably how they glean the stated 20 hour battery life) .

***No more Firewire connections. I was dim to peek that, as the Firewire connection saved me from getting a current USB hub.

The Holy Grail is video here...however, converting it to iPod standards isn't easy. I have a lot of DiVX video, to which the QuickTime Converter isn't up to recognizing, grand less converting. Forget about 3rd party converters that you already absorb, it seems the iPod only wants Apple-converted video. But rest assured, there are software developers frantically scrambling to solve this. I have a couple of beta converters I found, but with very mixed results. I'd give it a couple of weeks then righteous software will be available for converting video to the iPod.

The sound is as honorable as ever, no worries there.

It has the same width and height as my 40GB iPod, so your cases should fit nicely, and maybe a similar thickness to the conventional 10/20 GB iPods. It fits in my auto transmitter/charger, but I have to slightly angle it support as I'm inserting it to hit the dock squarely.

All in all, the video spot was disappointing, but with lots of money at stake, it will score worked out by all these 3rd party developers. I did manage to win a couple very short preexisting QuickTime videos converted successfully to the iPod standard, so I know it DOES play video - the quandary is unprejudiced the conversion process. Not necessarily Apple's fault, except that their video standard is maybe a cramped too rigid.

After a long research on different types of MP3 players and many visits to shops to observe them in person I decided to lift the 60GB iPod video. I don't regret the retract. I assume it is an unbelievable player and the features are big. I'm very gratified with the iPod. So far I had it for four weeks and everything has been running smoothly.

The reason I rated the 60GB iPod Video four stars and

not five is because of this:

·It is not 60GB as advertised, it only comes with 55GB

of usable capacity

·You can't fit 15,000 songs as advertised (maybe if

you only establish punk songs) . I have 20GB so far and I have

around 3,200 songs in it (but I do set aside the album cover

jpegs for each song, so that uses some memory but not

that great) .

·It does not approach with an AC charger. You need to

charge the iPod via the USB cable into a computer.

·It is vulnerable to scratches very easy.

·And... The thing that I really abominate about this and any

other iPod is the fact that the batteries are really

expensive and complicated to replace, but, that's part

of APPLE's strategy.

Overall, I do recommend the 60GB iPod Video but remember all these electronic gadgets are in a scheme `disposable' because in 4 years from now this model will be completely weak. That's the contrivance all technology is...

Just received my Asus UL30A-X5 yesterday. After worthy review, and a try-out with an Acer 1410, I decided that I wanted a full-sized chiclet/island keyboard and the larger veil. I'm already quite elated with my decision. At the < $700 trace point, this is an estimable notebook.

Pros

- Keyboard. A pleasure to type on.

- Touchpad. It drags at first, but once you bag some finger oil on it, and change the pointer urge, it's one of the best that I've frail. Very peaceful two finger scroller. Attend for customized two and three finger click.

- Shroud. Sparkling and easy to read at 30 degree angles.

- Battery life. Yes, it will do over 10 hours.

- Weight/size. 1 swagger thin and very light.

- Body. Cherish the brushed sad metal glance on the case.

- Asus facial recognition login. Didn't judge that I would care, but it's nice to have the computer log in, without touch, when I'm sitting in front of it.

- Asus FastBoot (not the BIOS snappily boot) . This lets you configure which programs load during startup and which load after. Speeds up the boot quite a bit.

- Decent speakers. Not ear-destroying, but pleasant for the size. Mighty better than most netbooks.

Cons

- Placement of touchpad. It mild registers my palm as I'm typing even at the crude setting. Downloaded the original touchpad driver, but that didn't fix. Composed looking for a solution. This is by far the most frustrating pickle. UPDATE: The TouchFreeze utility seems to almost fix the narrate.

- Case peaceful shows fingerprints.

- Web cam is improper res and has distress in outrageous light (haven't tried different drivers yet) .

I recently purchased the Asus UL30A-X5 through Amazon and am very blissful with my decision. Let me first initiate by briefly explaining what I was looking for in a fresh laptop, as I enjoy that will give the reader better information when deciding if this laptop is fair for them. I am currently a student on a budget and was looking for the following: 1) Less than $700 in sign, 2) Mask size between 13-14", 3) Windows 7 already installed (I didn't want an older computer with Vista that I would have to manually upgrade to Acquire 7 myself), 4) At least 320GB HD, 3 GB DDR3 RAM, and a Pentium Core 2 Duo SU7300 equivalent or greater processor, 5) Thin and light, and 6) 4+ solid hours of battery life. Although a netbook offers a dinky size and easy portability, I didn't want to sacrifice power and performance for everyday tasks. On the other hand, I also didn't want a broad "desktop replacement" laptop that would be a hassle to carry around or difficult to catch with me anytime I was away from home. In summary, I wanted a laptop that offered a great combination of power, performance, and size for my money. With that being said, here is my impression thus far after 2 days of using this computer:

Pros:

-Performance: Able to smoothly and efficiently handle everything I have wanted to do to this point. It is even faster than my 3 year primitive 15.6" Dell Inspiron that I originally paid $1300 for at the time.

-Size and Weight: Couldn't be happier with the sleek sight and light weight. It looks even better in person than in the pictures.

-Quality: Some people may assume you are sacrificing quality for a laptop with these specs for under $700. I judge this computer is built very well, and would argue it stands up to the mighty more expensive or name-brand models in the same class.

-Warranty: The accidental protection warranty offers an extra share of mind, which is also something not often included without an additional cost in other laptops.

-Keyboard: Very easy to exercise, ample invent!

-Mousepad: I adore the textured touchpad on this model. It is difficult to gaze in the pictures, but the touchpad is actually not a worn "pad", but a bunch of cramped dots that track the movement of your finger. Also, I really like the extra features such as being able to scroll up or down a page by using two fingers anywhere on the pad.

Cons:

-The only thing that I am not too exasperated about is the petite (or "smaller" when compared to my larger laptop) mouse buttons below the touchpad. This might be something that impartial takes a minute getting worn to, but it is more difficult to click the buttons than on my older laptop. Again, this is my first 13.3" laptop so it probably fair comes with the nature of a smaller laptop and I will win old-fashioned to it with time, but it's unprejudiced something I wanted to point out if you are transitioning from a enormous laptop to a smaller one.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with my lift. Distinct, there are better laptops on the market as some will argue, but only if you are willing to exhaust $1000+. This computer definitely earns "5 stars" and I assume anyone who is looking for an affordable, ultra-portable laptop with distinguished performance will be very overjoyed as well.

I really fancy this computer despite the facts that it has some issues. I really like the carry out, it's very thin, less than 1 dash, but by no means is thinner than the macbook air. The casing is very sexy, it looks very nice from all angles. The keyboard is wonderful, the only plight is that it has a shrimp flex but its not the destroy of the world I can type sparkling well. The most annoying thing might be the touchpad, whenever you type and you have your hands positioned cessation to it, the touchpad might register some click while you type. A lot of people are talking about the battery life of this computer that it won't even near 10 hours, I can confirm I collect 11+ hours on this lappie, Windows 7 is mighty more energy efficient than Vista (note: I tested under wireless off, lowest camouflage brightness, power saving mode, word 2007) . I really indulge in the ticket point its less than $700, which is the perfect imprint for the performance.

After owning a Garmin Nuvi 660 for around 2 years, I got tired of not having updated maps (even after purchasing Garmin updates) where alot of the areas already developed over a year ago Unexcited weren't there -- especially the DFW site. While traffic was nice, I didnt judge I should have to pay extra when the unit originally cost over $400. Enter the Navigon 7200T. This GPS fixes most of the previous version's issues (auto night/day, more fair directions, etc) plus it has built in Zagats and colossal Allege recognition SW. The Zagats is ultra wintry for folks like me that do alot of business depart and know restaurants only by name. One of my colleagues will say "Lets meet at Noodle Wave" and all I have to do is type the name in my Navi and Bam! I have the address, area, phone number and directions in my car. Truly awesome. Also, I like the ability to belief out my route beforehand so i can verify the directions with google or mapquest. I dont miss not having videos, mp3s on my GPS since thats what my ipod is for. So for me, the keys for a Navi are right and updated maps, free traffic and the ability to search places by name (not fair address), the 7200T is really it.

Conclusion -- WAYYYY better than my Garmin Nuvi 660 and has the features I care about. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to the 7200. Its astonishing.

I have owned Garmins and Tomtoms. This gps looked very promising. It displays all the info Tomtom displays but Garmin doesn't plus it has a nice gleaming shroud like Garmin, not TT. I was hoping for the best of both.

The honorable is that the 7200T routes well, no problems there. The lane wait on works well although Garmin and Tomtom's implementation is a small better I contemplate. Whereas Navigon displays the static reality few for a long time. Garmin and TT pop it up for a few seconds then go wait on to showing the lane aid way.

The Navigon is very wordy with its verbal instructions which is qualified. But with all the words, it doesn't reveal 90% of the highway exit numbers. It rattles off the town and road, etc, etc but no exit number. What it does do though is explain the exit number on the veil. This is ok if you have the eagle eyes. The fonts on the 7200T are diminutive. It takes my archaic eyes 5 - 10 seconds to focus on the screen's dinky print after driving. It doesn't sound like alot but taking your eyes off the road for that long is risky. Don't know why they don't include exit number in the instructions.

The 7200T also displays street names. Unfortunately, every road that is not fragment of your route is displayed as a pencil line and each road is displayed with its street name in micro font size. Forget about being able to read them.

Another short coming is the 7200T's POI database. It is very diminutive and is missing most national retailers, gyms, health clubs, doctors, dentists and who knows what else. Its POI search is also horribly broken. You have 3 choices. NEARBY - gives you POIs within a very shrimp radius, too miniature. The next choice is CITY. Unfortunately, you have to know the real city. Most other brands search Come CITY but not this. If the POI you are looking for is actually one town over, you will never fetch it. If you are in outlandish territory and don't know the adjoining citys to search individually, you are out of luck. The third choice is Region. Most POI categories are not included in Region so this choice is totally worthless.

On top of this all, the shroud sensitivity is not astronomical and the buttons are slight. You will have to enter and address multiple times as you tapped the contemptible letter or have to tap the same letter multiple times because it didn't buy it up.

So to summarize, it routes well but the hide fonts are so petite its uncertain to perceive at while driving and the whole POI thing is bad. Maybe a firmware fix will improve font size and change exit number verbal instructions. Maybe modern maps will increase POI database size and add qualified search functionality. Until then, this is unprejudiced another gps with lots of potential.

Got this GPS a few days ago. First impressions overall determined. I am upgrading from a TomTom PDA, so comparisons in my mind are inevitable.

The good:

o - nice packaging, minimalist, not a tremendous box filled with junk. Gracious job.

o - GPS InstantFix works like a charm. Satellite fix was established very snappy, a matter of seconds rather than minutes. No complaints there.

o - Response times to camouflage input are fast. Previous versions generated complaints of tedious response; that's clearly been fixed. The only delays I noticed were when I updated settings.

o - Nice effect, compact, frameless camouflage. Matte carry out on cover and on the case, hides fingerprints well, unlike the previous version which was a fingerprint magnet.

o - Cloak is broad, sparkling, and has nice sensitivity to touch, both fingertips and fingernails.

o - Reality Opinion of exists is certainly appreciated.

o - Free Traffic was a major selling feature. Maintain in mind here, the traffic radio receiver is built in, but you detached need an external antenna. The supplied Mini USB car charger cord doubles as an antenna, but I also found out that any frail USB cable with a mini USB poke will work. Would have been nice to have an antenna built into the unit, but I don't know if that's possible.

o - Charges via a standard mini USB connector - a gigantic plus - can trudge into a PC or a USB hub, or any mini USB cell phone charger. Very nice.

o - When you saunter it into a PC, it becomes a Mass Storage Scheme, assigned a drive letter, you can unbiased copy files to it if you want. No need for custom software

o - Text-to-speech is very grand, legal and easy to understand.

o - Hasten limit indicate and alerts are pleasant.

o - Speaker sound is plenty loud enough, easy to control from main cloak.

o - Bluetooth speakerphone feature was easy to pair with my cell phone, and works flawlessly. It allows me to dial either from the phone and hiss through the GPS unit or dial directly from the GPS when I eye up Zagat reviews or any listed POI.

o - Automatic night/day expose brightness switching worked mountainous. It switched to night mode honest as it started getting sunless. I rob it calculates the sundown times based on exactly where you are.

Now the bad:

o - Box came with no user manual, honest a URL of where to gain it online. The website says there would be a CD in the box; there isn't. Either awful QC on packaging, or a abominable make choice. Even the cheapo gadgets near with a puny CD with a PDF manual.

o - first time I turned it on, I got an error message, then the thing crashed and needed a reboot.

o - Fist night it instructed me to go the gross contrivance up a one contrivance street, even though the way showed it as a one diagram street. What's up with that?

o - The new location displayed (GPS coordinates) is useless most of the time, takes up a astronomical chunk of cover, and there is no draw to net the hell rid of it.

o - The altitude calculation is erroneous. Even with as many as seven satellite signals, it tells me I'm below the sea level. I'm not.

o - there's no intention to switch orientation from horizontal to vertical. Shaded. I might like to know more of what's ahead of me than what's on the sides.

o - Simulation of route goes at one race only, no diagram to run up or dead down. The TomTom allows you to play simulations at any bustle from 10% to 5x race, other ways too.

o - Method explain is mediocre. Not anywhere as nice as Google maps on my phone. You guys could have done mighty better.

o - conceal is really cluttered. No plot to come by rid of apt side bar and bottom bar, which together lift up almost half the scree area.

o - information indicate is limited; Either ETA or time to destination, not both; no original time.

o - browse route only shows text and 2d symbols of turns; not 3d intention images, no method.

o - no ability to play either music or video. This is a Windows CE device; it has a micro SD card and a speaker and an audio out. All you would need is a program to play music; yet it is not supplied. At this effect, I would inquire that petite bit of functionality. On long trips, it might be nice to be able to play podcasts or recorded books. Fortunately, there is likely to be a blueprint to hack the plot to do that. [...]. It refers to a Mio plot, but the same principles apply here. I haven't done it, but it should be possible.

o - the MicroSD card is impossible to lift without using a shrimp screwdriver.
