The Epson Movie Mate is a huge product. Instead of purchasing a stout cloak LCD or plasma television, I opted to go this route. Let's face it - these days, everything is online. Hook your laptop fair up to this unpleasant boy and grab your instant play Netflix or check out the latest offerings on Hulu. It's absolutely astounding! The difference ratio on this puppy is only 1:300 but it's all you need. Deem that a commercial theatre is usually objective 1:150 - why would you need 1:1000????
I wrote a scathing review of my experience in purchasing this product, at first, when Electronics Expo, the Amazon-vendor, would not acquire a return on this product. My decision to return it was based immediately on observing the "shroud door" appearance (resolution) compared to another DLP model a friend let me borrow and try. Also, the zoom feature wasn't as salubrious. Having said that, though, the convenience of this do, with the DVD player and sound built in, is a very nice thing, and in the waste, I decided to retain it and effect utilize of it for that reason alone. I also got an email and phone number from Electronics Expo trying to acquire trustworthy on the deal. The acquire was reachable by phone, and tried to fabricate me joyful. I recommended they score a scheme to say "you may not return this item if you take it" present up somewhere on the cart check-out page before you click "complete retract." I got this projector about a week ago and here's what I can say so far
1. The Model 55 is very easy to place up. The Rapid Initiate user's guide is very sterling and it took me about a tiny after I got it out of the well-cushioned package to point to a movie on DVD.
2. Everything, including the PC and TV inputs, worked flawlessly.
3. The diagram is very portable with carrying handles built in
4. Controls on the remote are predictable and logical. I spent runt time referring to the user's guide.
5. The video quality is quite sterling and almost up to TV LCD quality
6. Having stereo loudspeakers in the unit works very well and makes the system very portable. Sound quality is reasonably obliging.
It's too early to whine about reliability, but legal now it looks like Epson has a hit on its hands. It's priced moral and easy to expend.
