I purchased this a few days ago to go on a long road amble with some other buddies all driving cars, and I would have to say the position up is nice. The only downfall to the system is it seems a minute too cheap for 500$. The radar pickup is not as hastily as some of the escort models, and it has quite a few deceptive alerts. I would say if your looking to retract one, agreeable choice - you will be ecstatic over all, but wait until it drops in stamp a bit.
Very nice setup, only downfall is that its not as suited as a Bel rx65 or STI when it comes to Radar falsing and sensitivity. But it makes up for it with its GPS Photo enforcement feature. It would be nice if the fright tones could be changed around. Like all the reviews on the internet say, "its got Potential", but peaceful needs some attention to detail to produce this a premium detector like the Bel rx65, STI, or Valentine products.
This unit performed as advertised. Has minimal fake alarms as I drive through the city, and has not failed to give reminder 3 warnings as I approached the red light zones.
As far as a radar detector, NY has so distinguished traffic, potholes, and red lights that its hard to bustle even if you tried.
